Why sarking matters: Bradford’s guidance notes that tiled residential roofs with rafter lengths over 6 m must be sarked regardless of pitch. CSR recommends sarking all tiled roofs below 20° pitch; in that low-pitch case, the BCA mandates sarking where rafter lengths exceed 4.5 m. For BAL-12.5 to BAL-40, sarking with a flammability rating below 5 is mandatory per the guidance. This is general information, not legal advice — confirm with your certifier.
